PPL requires less hours compared to your CPL. Only thing you need is an Aircraft and the required knowledge. Complete the minimum hours and pass the test. Hola! You have your license. Now, with this you can fly throughout your life.

Ratings

Aircraft Ratings -It indicates the class and the types of aeroplanes the holder entitled to fly Night Ratings - Entitles the holder of the license to carry passengers at night Instrument Rating - Entitles the holder of the license to fly under the IFR

Eligibility.
  • Age :Minimum 17 years
  • Education : 10+2 with Physics and Math
  • Medical Fitness : Class II medical fitness under DGCA Rule 39
DGCA requirements for issue of CPL with instrument ratings is as follow.
  • Minimum flying hours 40, of which: not less than 10 hours of solo flight time
  • 5 hours of cross country flying
  • 5 hours recency in the last 12 months Flying Training— He shall have completed flying training in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the Director-General.
