We all know the road traffic rules, same way we do have rules for the air to control and streamline the flow of traffic for a safe and efficient flight. As the name suggests, we will be learning all the regulations set by ICAO and DGCA in this class.
Now that we know the rules, there is something more magical in the environment which helps us fly. Aren’t you all curious to know how important the weather is and how it help our aircraft moving in the air? At the same time, it can be dangerous too. So studying the weather in detail and knowing what to avoid, keeps us all alive.
Ok! This is the most interesting part of flying. Do you want to know why? Let’s say you are new to a city and you want to go to the nearby market. You ask someone and that person tells you to go straight until you see a huge building on the left, there is a street opposite to the building, walk for 300mts and you will reach the market. Since its all 2 dimensional, you have landmarks for reference; it’s easy for you to navigate to the market. Similarly, we will be learning how to navigate in the air, with the help our navigational aids, landmarks and much more advanced technologies we have!
Good pilot might know to fly but a Smart pilot will also learn what makes the aircraft fly. In here you will learn about the aerodynamic forces that you help you fly and basic knowledge of how engine and each part of the aircraft works. If something goes wrong, at least you will know which part caused it and how to get yourself safely on the ground without it.
We are all humans, yet each of us is unique in our own way and so are our Aircrafts. All aircrafts uses the same aerodynamic forces, but each has its unique design and configuration. Whichever aircraft we wish to fly, we study what makes in unique! .
Let’s say we are traveling from Kerala to Delhi. What if you don’t know each other’s language? How will we communicate? That’s why we have standardized the Radio Telephony Procedures. Here you will learn the common language of communication and procedures to follow.
